IFCO 2004 PRAGUE
The International Foster Care Organisation's European Training Seminar will be held in Prague, Czech Republic from 2 – 6 November 2004.
The event is being jointly organised by IFCO and the Czech Centre for Adoption and Foster Care (SNRP). The Mayor of Prague, MUDr. Pavel Bem, has kindly agreed to be the patron of the IFCO 2004.
IFCO’s European Conferences have been important places for all those involved in Foster Care to meet and exchange information and experiences. Previous conferences in Berlin and Hungary attracted large numbers of delegates from the former Eastern block and proved to be a source of inspiration for the development of new Foster Care services.
Considerable progress has been made in these developments and IFCO 2004 will aim to highlight this progress and compare and contrast good practice from all parts of Europe and the World.
As the European Union expands to embrace 10 new countries in 2004 it is timely that IFCO 2004 will be held in Prague, the historic and beautiful capital of the Czech Republic.
The Conference will take place at the Conference Centre of the Corinthia Towers Hotel which has in recent years hosted World leaders attending conferences organised by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, NATO, International Olympic Committee and soon the World Ice Hockey Championships!
Accommodation at special rates will be at this hotel and also at others in many price ranges. Hotel accommodation will be organised by our logistical partner CSA Airtours, a sister company of CSA (Czech Airlines) which will also give discounted air fares to conference delegates.
